Clear V Vascular Laser

At Kaya Cosmedica all patients receive a consultation to determine suitability for the treatment.
During the treatment the area to be treated will be cleaned, and safety glasses will be worn. The Clear V handpiece will deliver precise laser energy to the are being targeted. There will be a brief warm/hot sensation as the vessels absorb the laser pulse. Treatment time can take between 5-30 minutes depending on the treatment area. There is minimal downtime and you may resume daily activities following treatment.

Redness and swelling around the treated vessels are noticeable within a few minutes. A sunburn sensation is noted, and subside within 24-48 hours after treatment. After 48 hours the treated skin will look slightly red, purple or bruised. At times the veins will appear more visible than before treatment. This is normal. Within 2-3 weeks the redness/purple colour will begin to fade.

It is advised to avoid direct sun exposure after and to use sunscreen when outdoors. We ask you to refrain from intense exercise for 48-72 hours after treatment.

There will be a noticeable reduction in facial and body vessels after the first treatment, with results improving over time.

Some patients will notice results after one treatment, and others may need additional treatments.
During the consultation, we will develop a personalised treatment plan and advise how many treatments are expected. The number of treatments will vary depending on the number of vessels present, type of vessels and your healing ability. Additional treatments are performed 4-6 weeks apart.

At Kaya Cosmedica, the treatment is performed by our experienced practitioners to ensure safety. As with all lasers, risks include redness, swelling, papules and cold sores in those that are susceptible. Rare risks include burns, and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
